A quarter of a mile walk down a gently sloping track
takes you to the centre of a 2 mile long sandy beach.
If the tide is in you can walk along the new promenade
to Whitby. At the other end of the beach is the pretty
village of Sandsend, with lovely walks around the village
or along the old cliff railway line.
Indeed, Sandfield House Farm is on the heritage coast,
which has beautiful scenery and more picturesque
villages including Staithes, Runswick Bay, Port Mulgrave
and Robin Hood's Bay.
We are situated in the North Yorkshire Moors National
Park and the moors are only a short drive away. Beautiful
walks include May Beck, Dalby Forest, Mulgrave Woods
and The Cleveland Way.
The moors also includes a number of villages made famous
by the 'Heartbeat' TV series.
