Things to do

Situated on the coastal edge of the North York Moors National Park, Sandfield House Farm is the ideal base from which to explore the moors. The North York Moors Steam Railway is based at Grosmont and a short train ride or drive will take you to Goathland (Aidensfield) where the TV series 'Heartbeat' is filmed. The National Park visitor centre is based at Danby in the Esk Valley and is well worth a visit.

The bustling harbour town of Whitby is a short walk down the coast and hosts numerous things to see and do.
